Kalena Flow ("we," "our," or "us"), a company registered in Ireland as Kalena Flow Ltd, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Unlike most health apps, Kalena Flow is designed with a "Local-First" architecture, meaning your health data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

2. The "No Data Collection" Guarantee

Our core philosophy is that your health data is yours alone.

Menstrual & Fertility Data: All logs, cycle dates, fertile window predictions, and notes are stored in a local SQLite database on your mobile device. We do not have access to this data.

Personal Identity: We do not require you to create an account or provide an email address to use the core tracking features of the app.

3. Data We May Process

While your health data is private, certain non-sensitive data is processed for the app to function:

In-App Purchases: When you purchase "Premium Features," the transaction is handled by Google Play Billing. We receive a confirmation of the purchase (a transaction ID) to unlock your features, but we do not see your credit card details or real name.

Local Storage Permissions: The app requires permission to write to your device's local storage to save your cycle history.

4. Third-Party Services

To maintain your privacy, we strictly limit third-party integrations:

Google Play Services: Used only for processing payments and app updates.

No Analytics/Ads: We do not use third-party tracking (like Facebook SDK or Google Analytics) that monitors your behavior or shares your data with advertisers.

5. Security

Because your data is stored locally, its security depends on the security of your device. We recommend:

Using a device passcode or biometric lock.

Using the "Privacy Lock" feature within Kalena Flow settings.

Note: If you delete the app or lose your phone, your data will be lost unless you have used the manual "Export" function to create a backup.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

As an Irish-registered company, we comply with the GDPR. You have the right to:

Access & Portability: You can use the "Export to JSON/CSV" feature in the app at any time to take your data with you.

Erasure: You can delete all your health data instantly by using the "Clear All Data" button in Settings or by uninstalling the app.

We may update this policy occasionally. If we make significant changes (such as adding a cloud-sync feature), we will provide a prominent notice within the app and require your explicit consent.
